Eat a good meal and hydrate before your appointment
Avoid drinking alcohol the day before
Avoid direct sunlight as much as possible leading up to your tattoo appointment (sunburns are a no-go)
You can moisturize your skin on the days leading up to your tattoo, but please do not moisturize on the day of your appointment. It can make your skin difficult to tattoo
Bring snacks/beverage with you, particularly for a large tattoo
Wear clean, comfy clothing to your appointment, that allows easy access to the placement of the tattoo. Keep in mind there
Bring blanket/pillows if you think you'll want extra comfort. Again, keep in mind they may get ink on them. And please ensure any blankets/pillowcases brought into the shop have been freshly laundered prior to the appointment
I use bright lights while tattooing, you may want to bring sunglasses with you in case the light bothers you
Music will be on during the appointment but feel free to bring earbuds/headphones to listen to your own media if you prefer
The studio lights I use are quite bright, bring sunglasses with you if you think the light may bother you
Please don't shave the area the tattoo is going prior to your appointment. I will do this for you when you arrive.
If you have any health concerns feel free to discuss these with me prior to your appointment. When in doubt, please consult your doctor if you're unsure whether it's a good time for you to get tattooed (in regards to medical conditions or medications)
