STUDIO PROTOCOLS
At your appointment you'll be asked to sign a consent waiver before we begin tattooing that contains further health and safety info. You can find a PDF copy of my waiver HERE in case you'd like to review it prior to your appointment. If you have any questions or concerns about health & safety or anything else to do with your tattoo, always feel free to ask!
You can visit the Region of Waterloo Public Health site linked below to see Frazzle Kat Tattoos' latest inspection reports.
Check it! We inspect it.
Frazzle Kat Tattoos uses single use, disposable needles, tubes and cartridges. These come pre-sterilized and are only opened immediately prior to use during your appointment. The lot numbers and expiry dates from these products are recorded for each tattoo procedure. All needles and cartridges are safely disposed of in a sharps container immediately following the tattoo.
Any surfaces or equipment that are involved in the tattooing process are covered with single use barriers which are disposed of immediately following the tattoo.
All surfaces and non-disposable equipment (machine and cords) are thoroughly cleaned with a surface disinfectant (Pre-Empt or Cavicide) between tattoo procedures.
The ink used is made in the US and is sourced from reputable suppliers within Canada (I use Eternal Pitch Black Lining Ink almost exclusively).
I renew my Blood-borne Pathogens training yearly. You can find my current certificate HERE
The safety of my clients (as well as myself) is top priority. If you have any questions or concerns regarding my health & safety protocols or if there is anything that would make you feel safe and comfortable during your appointment please let me know! If you have questions regarding medical conditions that may interfere with you safely receiving a tattoo you are welcome to ask me, however ultimately it is best to discuss these with a medical professional prior to booking your tattoo.
